Is ‘The Amazing Race Canada’ happening? Rumors suggest so
First, it was “Canada’s Got Talent,” and then it was “The Bachelor Canada” and the upcoming “Big Brother Canada.” So is “The Amazing Race Canada” going to be following all of this up? If you listen to some of the rumors that are floating around the internet now, it definitely appears to be so.
According to a report from PopGoesTheNews.com, the show’s popular host in Phil Keoghan has taped a message that is set to air during the CTV broadcast of the American version of the show Sunday night at 8:00 p.m. Eastern time. All the Canadian broadcast network has confirmed thus far is that the show will in fact contain some sort of special message, but viewers are guessing at the moment just what it is. However, it makes sense that a “Amazing Race Canada” announcement would happen during the actual show, and it also makes sense from the standpoint that viewers have been asking for this show for quite some time.
So what would the show be like? For a long time, our greatest concern was that a smaller country would not be able to handle the high production costs, but “The Amazing Race Australia” has proved over its past two seasons (along with the version of the show in the Philippines) that it can be done and feel very much like the original. In addition to that, the Australian show actually felt superior to the American one in many ways, as it featured a fresh crew who were not afraid to push the envelope in creating new twists, including a Salvage Pass that a team in first could use to save a team in last.
Do you think an “Amazing Race Canada” could end up being a hit? Be sure to check back here after the show airs Sunday night for some sort of official confirmation, and you can watch a preview for this episode over here.

Really excited about Amazing Race Cda. but part of the fun of the show is watching contestants dealing with different cultures and language issues which I doubt would be a problem if they’re only racing within Canada.
Still, looking forward to it though!!!
