‘Once Upon a Time’ season 2, episode 9 preview: Taking chances (video)
Sometimes, you don’t do things to necessarily be evil; you do things because you think them to be necessarily. This seems to be where the Evil Queen Regina’s heart lies on Sunday night’s winter finale for “Once Upon a Time” season 2, as she is so concerned about Henry and her own well-being that she does not want to see Cora come to Storybrooke from the fairytale world that still exists. However, in making sure she cannot come back, she will also be keeping Mary Margaret and Emma from returning.
In the first sneak peek from this episode below, you can see that this is really where the debate lies in Regina’s heart. If she takes a chance on the hope that her son is right, she has to live with the fact that she could be exposing herself and the few people close to her to a world of hurt. Even if she does want to help her son, there is still the matter of trying to convince Mr. Gold to do the same. After all, he has even less of an incentive to keep a potential portal between the two worlds open, as he does not care so much for Henry, and there’s the whole matter of just who could be waiting for him on the other side (in Captain Hook) if the magic is allowed to continue.
Regardless of what decision Regina and Mr. Gold make, the one thing that we can promise at the moment is that this is going to be an enormously important episode for the show; and by the end of it, the lives of many of our characters are never going to be the same.
