NBC’s ‘The Voice’: Christina Aguilera to record with Blake Shelton for new album

For her upcoming new album “Lotus,” Christina Aguilera is doing everything that she can to maintain some of her connections to her good friends on “The Voice.” As a matter of fact, she is going to have performed a duet with every single one of her fellow coaches by the time this disc hits stores later this year.

According to a new report from The Hollywood Reporter, there are a pair of songs on the album that Christina will highlight her own famous voice alongside a pair of familiar artists. First things first, there is a song called “Make the World Move” featuring Cee Lo Green that will be something that shows off a fun, playful side to the singer. Cee Lo has had many a hit over the years with collaborations, and one of the two biggest songs of his entire career (in “Crazy”) was recorded when he was with Gnarls Barkley.

As for the song with Blake Shelton, there are a couple of interesting things worth noting here. The song’s name in “Just a Fool” does very much sound like something that would fall perfectly into the genre, and early reports suggest that it does very much have a country feel. However, the report also states that Blake has yet to actually record the vocals for the track yet, so he better get on the ball if this song really has any hope of ultimately landing on the album at all.

As for the song she has recorded with Adam Levine, we’re not so much referring to something on “Lotus” as we are “Moves Like Jagger,” which in many ways helped to revive both Aguilera and Maroon 5 on the radio.

Does the idea of hearing two more duets featuring Christina excite you?
