The Walking Dead season 8 episode 4 preview: A new weapon in ‘Some Guy’

The Walking Dead season 8 episode 4 carries with it the title of “Some Guy,” and beyond that, also plenty of mystery. This is an installment that should push some of our heroes to the limit, and for good reason given that there’s still near-constant fighting going on with the Saviors on one side and Rick’s group on the other. (Side note: Shouldn’t someone come up with a better name than Rick’s group to describe what is going on here since he’s not the only leader?)

Below, you can get a small tease from us here at CarterMatt as to why The Walking Dead season 8 episode 4 is going to be an even more chaotic episode than some others we’ve seen as of late:

“A new weapon in the Savior arsenal proves to be a giant hurdle as fighting continues between Rick’s forces and those of the Saviors.”

The stakes are obviously going to be astronomically high in this episode given that this weapon, (no matter what it is) could be enormous in turning the tide in the Saviors’ favor. It’s a reminder of the many things that Rick’s group have working against them at the moment. Also, remember here that they don’t have the people or the resources that the Saviors have. There’s also a good chance that Negan anticipated a war long before Rick group decided that they were going to get involved in one. The truth here is that there are so many secrets and mysteries we’re still learning about with the Saviors! We’ve already learned about Morales this season, and there may be more secrets coming up down the road.

The Walking Dead season 8 episode 4 will bring us to the halfway point of the first part of this season. This tends to be when there are some big developments. There have already been many so far this season so let’s hope that this momentum sticks around. Also, remember that there are some other twists and turns that can be employed that aren’t just killing someone off. That’s somewhat of a misnomer when it comes to the only Walking Dead twist that matters – when big characters get killed off.
