Grey’s Anatomy season 14 episode 4 spoilers: Amelia, Meredith, and crisis management

Grey's Anatomy season 14 episode 4

season 14 episode 4 will continue the tradition of song titles serving as episode titles, and this one may be one of our favorites. Who doesn’t love a great Frank Sinatra song like “Ain’t That a Kick in the Head”? It’s somewhat appropriate for this show, given that this is the sort of program where you could actually envision someone getting hospitalized for being kicked in the head during a freak accident.

Anyhow, this episode will (to the surprise of no one) revolve around a number of different traumatic situations — maybe some characters will uncover solutions to their problems, but we’re not altogether confident about that given that solutions are not something that tends to come altogether easy for some of these characters. What we can offer you right now, (while you eagerly await this and every other episode) is an official synopsis via ABC. Take a look below:

“Amelia confronts a difficult situation, while Meredith deals with the fallout from her conversation with Nathan. Maggie finds herself at an awkward family dinner, Jackson receives big news, and Richard and Bailey search for the stars of tomorrow, on “Grey’s Anatomy,” THURSDAY, OCTOBER 12 (8:00-9:00 p.m. EDT), on The ABC Television Network.”

For those wondering, you’re going to see more of Abigail Spencer as Megan Hunt in this episode, and also an appearance from Andrew DeLuca’s sister, a major player at the hospital this season and someone who could cause a little bit of tension. How these characters are tied to some of the stories in “Ain’t That a Kick in the Head?” is yet to be seen, but we can go ahead and say that it feels like we’re going to see Megan have a role to play that is tied in some shape or form to Meredith given her previous relationship with Nathan Riggs. These two could try to pick up where things left off so many years ago, but we imagine that it may not be anywhere near as easy as the two of them would like to think it would be. People in life don’t often just get to pick back up and start again without work, and this could be one of the many different issues that the show explores with the two of them.

When it comes to Amelia, we only wish that ABC gave us a little more information here! It isn’t lost on many readers out there that Caterina Scorsone is one of our favorite performers on the show, but the writers are keeping things fairly hush-hush on her story beyond that there will be more trials and tribulations coming her way.
