Lethal Weapon season 2 episode 1 spoilers: The adventure in Mexico
Below, you can see (via ABC) a few more details regarding what is coming up — it looks like there could be some good news coming up for Murtaugh and Riggs, but also a good bit of chaos to go along with it.
Lethal Weapon season 2 episode 1 synopsis – “Murtaugh follows Riggs down to Mexico, where he plans to avenge his wife’s death and finish off Tito Flores (guest star Danny Mora) once and for all. Once back in the States, they have a few people to answer to during the ongoing investigation around Flores, including Murtaugh’s family. Meanwhile, Avery is questioned by Internal Affairs about the integrity of his department in the all-new “El Gringo Loco” Season Two premiere episode.”
Do we anticipate everything tying together in a neat little bow in this episode? Not really, given that this is not something that the show needs to do right away. It often gives you story-of-the-week components along with a larger narrative every week, and we expect more of the same to happen in the up coming season. While we can’t necessarily tell you what is going to happen (even if we could, we wouldn’t because CarterMatt isn’t a spoilery kind of site), it feels like a near-guarantee to say that the premiere is going to be immensely entertaining. Time and time again we’ve gotten to see the show do some really fun, entertaining stuff that feels like it’s still paying homage to the original. We hope that this is going to continue to be the case here, and that we get a story that provides all sorts of awesome action from start to finish.
Also, can we say in advance that we hope the show continues to get some great ratings? There are still some question marks there given that we’re seeing the show move to a new night in Tuesdays, where it is going to air for the first time after being paired off with Empire for much of its run last season. (In the winter, it was paired with Star.)
