America’s Got Talent results: Will Dunkin’ Save help Chase Goehring, Eric Jones, Evie Clair?
Earlier today, CarterMatt locked in some of our predictions — within that, we felt confident in saying that Preacher Lawson and Darci Lynne are going to be in the finale. Meanwhile, we also felt good about Chase Goehring. On the flip side, it felt like it would be curtains for both Johnny Manuel and Yoli Mayor after they got somewhat lost in a sea of other singers over the night. There are a lot of similar performers on America’s Got Talent this season, and sooner or later, we figure that this is going to lead to a few of them getting knocked out.
Below, you can see some of the results tonight — rest assured that we’re going to have even more news as the night goes on, complete with reactions and probably a little snark when more singers get through than they really should.
Dunkin’ Save – We begin here. Chase Goehring, Evie Clair, and Eric Jones are in need of it. Chase shocked us since we figured that he would for sure be a lock to get through, but that may mean that a non-singing act got a little more love than we predicted.
First act advancing – Preacher Lawson. Huzzah! Preacher is in the finale, and we couldn’t be happier since he’s a legitimate threat to win the whole season … or at least as much of a threat to Darci as we’re going to see.
Second act advancing – Darci Lynne. Consider this one a predictable, but happy, announcement. We knew she would advance and we have no problem with that happening.
Third act advancing – Sara & Hero. This is wonderful just because it’s such a sweet, entertaining act, and we really think the show needed something like this that really reaches out to all of the dog lovers out there (like us).
Dunkin’ Save result – Evie Clair advances. No offense to America, but we don’t agree with this at all. While we do think that she has a really nice voice, we also feel like her story weighs that down to the point where it’s hard to pay attention anything other then her story. It’s unfair to blame her (it’s production’s fault), but we can’t change the end result.
Judges’ result – Chase Goehring moves on. We would’ve picked Chase and Eric, but we actually aren’t too disappointed about the rest of the results tonight.
