Fear the Walking Dead season 3 spoilers: Troy loses his cool (again)
Troy was bad before, and that was before his father Jeremiah Otto died at the end of the first half of the season. While we doubt that he and his brother Jake will learn the truth about what really happened right away, this is something that they are probably going to learn eventually. When they do, there is really only two words that you can say to everyone else: Watch out. Things are going to get ugly, and it could lead to some other deaths taking shape. Troy’s a little bit of a wayward soul, and he does not respond well to not having control.
This lack of control is ultimately what leads to the new sneak peek below via TVLine, which gives you a very good sense of precisely how Troy acts when he gets cornered, and it’s not the sort of thing that you want to do to him. He responds negatively to the idea of Walker, Madison, and others visiting the scene of his father’s death, looking to collect some of the weapons there. He reacts in turn by firing off a weapon of his own. It’s an ugly moment for Troy, but also very much in line with his character.
At the center of the two-hour midseason premiere (airing on September 10) is going to be a subject of mitigating some of this control. Just how much of it should Troy have, and what do you do when he has too much? There’s an absence of a singular leader now at Broke Jaw Ranch. While Madison is in many ways perfect for it, there could be some obvious resistance. She only arrived at the ranch recently, and has to try and convince some of these people that she is worthy of their time and attention, even if they don’t know her or how she operates.
