Bull season 2 premiere spoilers: Jill Flint, Minka Kelly guest-star

Bull season 2 premiere

“School for Scandal” is the title for the Bull season 2 premiere coming your way on Tuesday, September 26, and based on some early information via CBS, there’s a lot to prepare for! This is an episode that will begin a new chapter of the show with a new showrunner, and one that could show a wide array of the ups and downs in one Jason Bull’s life. Michael Weatherly better brace himself for a topsy-turvy season as the title character, and it also looks already like he’s going to be surrounded by some great people even beyond the regular cast.

Just one day removed from her The Night Shift season 4 finale airing on NBC, we’ve also got some more news on Jill Flint’s Bull return as Diana Lindsay in the premiere. You’ve got the photo above for starters, plus the details below as shared by CBS:

“When Bull joins the district attorney in a case against Kara Clayton (Minka Kelly), who claims she killed her billionaire husband in self-defense, tensions run high when he learns that his on-again, off-again romantic interest, Diana Lindsay (Jill Flint), is defending the widow. Also, Chunk makes a decision about his future.”

The more we see Bull and Diana Lindsay in the same room together, the more of a reason that you’ve got to celebrate. Their relationship is intense in some ways and messy in others; they are able to compartmentalize some of their work feelings versus their real-life feelings, but as they interact away from the courtroom there is always that question as to who’s playing who. Bull knows that Lindsay can beat him and she, in turn, knows him well enough to feel confident in court taking him on. Bull needs these strong rivalries so that the episodes feel like the case could teeter either way by the end of each hour.

As for getting Minka Kelly on board the show, it’s the chance for Bull to bring in another big-name guest star to get some more attention to the premiere. The challenge for Bull in this case is probably twofold. For one, you’ve got to figure out a way to protect the client; however, at the same time you also have to figure out how to outsmart the other side of the bench. For him, it’s about understanding what the jury wants to hear and playing into that. The Chunk story is one that we’ll leave you hanging on for a while, given that it’s still too early to know how that’s going to unfold based on just a few words in a synopsis.
