Big Brother 19 live feed spoilers: HoH preparation; Halting Hex debates (day 36, evening)

HoH preparation

For our final Big Brother 19 live feed update of the day, the big question that we wonder here is simple: Could Jessica and Cody use the Halting Hex?

Thanks to Kevin cluing Jessica in that there could be a blindside earlier in the day, that raises the all-important question. Jess has a limited amount of time in which she can use it, and she’s starting to realize now that she should’ve nominated Alex or Paul as a replacement instead of leaving nominations the same. If she uses the Halting Hex this week, she ensures that her numbers are saved and Ramses gets another life in the game. Ramses is the sort of person who, at least for a time, would be very grateful to Jess and Cody and be super-loyal to them. There should be some thought into using it — especially if you have confidence in your group to win Head of Household and keep yourself safe.

Well, here’s the problem for Ramses: Jess can’t play for it next week. In the event that she was able to fight for HoH, we feel she’d be confident in either her or Cody’s ability to win — they’re both very good at competitions and they could win almost anything. At this point, it’s just not worth the risk for her.

Therefore, providing some miracle, Ramses is going to be gone.

HoH preparation

One of the reasons why Jess may be so hesitant to use the Halting Hex is because of the nature of the next competition. It looks like a simple memorization task where they have to study something that was shown to them when the feeds were down. Cody did fairly well at the last Veto, so we know he’s decent at memory tasks; still, there are a lot of people left, and this is probably going to be a crapshoot.

The person that probably does have the best shot of winning this competition is Paul, just because he’s done competitions like this before and he has a feel for how to study for them and handle with the nerves/pressure of being in the moment. Having that sort of history is very good in moments like this. Beyond him, we’d also say that someone like Alex could do very well since she seems committed to winning and will take it seriously. Christmas is committed to pretty much everything, so she has a shot.

As for people like Elena, Mark, Raven, Matt, Jason, and Kevin, we’re just not seeing that sense of urgency from any of them. Josh probably will try to win it, but he’s far too scatterbrained and may not handle the pressure well. If we had to guess, either Alex, Paul, Christmas, or Cody (again) is going to be in power at the end of this.
