Big Brother 19 live feed spoilers: Cody and Jessica’s island of delusion (day 32, evening)

Cody and Jessica

For our (likely) final Big Brother 19 live feed update of day 32, we’ve gotta spend some time discussing Jessica and Cody’s cluelessness. This is really a Big Brother trope these days — someone coming back into the house, and all of us expecting something that is very different than what we actually get. Just look at much of the history here, whether it be Brendon in season 13 or Nicole in season 16. People re-enter the game, and they are virtually the same as they were before they were evicted. Johnny Mac and Victor changed things up slightly, but not enough to win the game.

For Cody upon his return to the game, his second chance means spending almost the entirety of his time with Jessica and not really reading what the remainder of the other players are thinking. They are both apparently intent on leaving nominations the same, blissfully unaware of the plotting that is going on around them.

At present, it appears as though everyone other than Mark, Elena, and Cody is voting for Ramses to leave the game, which means that Josh is staying to cause insanity in the house a little bit longer. Josh has already gone on a lengthy diatribe by himself in what we’re forever calling the Monologue Room — it’s the place where Dominique the Dominator did her talk show, and where Paul does his Friendship Chats — and he claims that his intention is to wait until the eviction show and then lose his you-know-what all over Mark, Cody, Elena, and Jessica. It’s terrible gameplay but we are HERE FOR IT AND HERE FOR JOSH. Josh is a trainwreck, but we’ll take that over Matt any day of the week.

What’s going to make this even messier / possibly entertaining is if Josh gives his big speech, and then Jessica uses the Halting Hex to stop Ramses from going home because of it. We would officially die. We also have a feeling we’re going to die at some point with laughter this season when Jessica does something, assuming that America loves her because of the temptation. Some people do, but some of her support was just ultimate underdog factor.

Random Matt sidebar: Is Matt one of the biggest casting whiffs in a long time? We’re starting to think that given that he’s done literally nothing other than wear the same two or three shirts around and hang out with Raven. It’s hard to think of a bigger miss just because if there is one, we’ve already forgotten they exist. This is even harder to say given that we don’t want to discourage anyone with our first name in the game. We’ll take season 12 Matt any day.

The one thing that could change things up this week is if someone squeals to Cody or Jessica about the plan, which is certainly possible given that Josh is a loose cannon and you’re relying on people like Matt and Raven who haven’t done much. Also, we are a little worried about growing friction between Paul and Christmas, given that he does speak to her in a fairly condescending way and she’s not the sort of person who puts up with that.

As always, head over here to get some other news and insight when it comes to Big Brother. (Photo: CBS.)
