Chicago Med: what will season 3 have in store for the doctors and nurses?
So what could be coming up in season 3? Well, plenty actually.
First, what will become of Dr. Robin Charles (recurring guest star Mekia Cox) will definitely be something to look out for in. Will the tumor and her outbursts affect the way her colleagues see her? Will she be the same doctor she was? The tumor may be out of her head, but that doesn’t mean she won’t have any problems returning to a normal life, especially after such a dramatic event. Plus what about her and Dr. Rhodes’s future? Fans will have to wait and see.
At the end of season two, a new doctor, Dr. Ava Becker (guest star Norma Kuhling), arrived in Chicago and is in competition with Dr. Connor Rhodes (Colin Donnell). Even though Dr. Becker seemed cold, what made a lasting impression was her chemistry with Connor. There were small moments when fans got the feeling that there could be more to their relationship. Could she also be a love interest?
Speaking of love, it seems to be at the center of the show right now, so season 3 will no doubt be filled of relationship drama. For Dr. Ethan Choi (Brian Tee) and Nurse April Sexton (Yaya DaCosta), it appears as though they are the newest couple. When season 3 opens, will April and Ethan be in an official relationship? Or will they try and forget they ever even kissed?
Then there’s Dr. Sarah Reese (Rachel DiPillo) and newly-made Dr. Noah Sexton (Roland Buck III). Noah carries a torch for Sarah, but will she wake up see that there’s a great guy right in front of her this season?
And then there’s Dr. Will Halstead (Nick Gehlfuss) and Dr. Natalie Manning (Torrey DeVitto), the will they or won’t they relationship. At the end of season two, Will broke up with his girlfriend because he realized that he has strong feelings for Dr. Manning. Plus, the last time fans saw them, Will asked Natalie to dance with him at Noah’s graduation party. So will season 3 be the season we finally see them get together? We certainly hope so.
Lastly, the season two finale ended with Dr. Daniel Charles (Oliver Platt) being shot. Does this mean he is dead? It doesn’t look like it, but he could definitely have problems because of it. For one, the guy who shot him then shot himself, so could Dr. Charles traumatized from the experience?
Long story short, season 3 of Chicago Med will not be boring. Add to the fact that the hospital will be getting new residents, and the show has some great storytelling to share. The NBC medical drama returns in early 2018.
