Dark Matter season 3 episode 5 spoilers: Princess problems

Dark Matter season 3 episode 5

When Dark Matter season 3 episode 5 airs on Syfy in one week’s time, there is a major part of the story that will be about a princess. There is a major part of us that wants to hear “I’m sorry, your princess is in another spaceship” as the Raza crew work to find her, but odds are that this is not going to happen. (Maybe we’re just in full Mario mode after E3…)

Anyhow, “Give It Up, Princess” is the title for the next episode — technically, it’s not even confirmed that a Princess is going to be a part of this story. It’s just something that we want to believe to be the case given the title and what is described via Syfy below:

Dark Matter season 3 episode 5 synopsis – “The crew must rescue kidnapped royalty to retrieve a file which could halt intergalactic war.”

What we do like about this episode already is the potential epic scale of it, and the hope that comes along with this that there could be a fantastic space adventure that allows the show to circumvent certain save-the-princess tropes. Beyond that, we just hope that there is some of the humor and creativity that we’ve had a chance to see for the past few weeks.

The promo below offers a little bit more clarity in regards to the princess, but that’s not the only thing that is teased here! This also looks like it’s going to be one of the biggest episodes of the season for Ryo as he puts more of his own plans into motion, which is a good thing given that he was barely around tonight save for the closing minutes of the episode.

We do feel for this episode given that it’s going to be almost impossible to match some of the greatness that we saw from the show tonight. Point for pound, we would say that season 3 episode 4 brought everything that you could want for Dark Matter in between a ton of humor, trippy space drama, and also a few tantalizing teases for what is coming down the road.
