The Bachelorette spoilers: Dean Unglert’s fear of heights put to the test (video)
As the sneak peek below from Twitter reveals, Dean is getting a one-on-one date in this episode that features him getting aboard the famous Goodyear blimp with Rachel. This is the sort of thing that you have to think came from Dean filling out some questionnaire prior to the season where he revealed that he is afraid of heights, given that this is the sort of thing that does tend to happen almost every season — someone with a crippling fear gets sent off to take part in some sort of terrible date that tests him.
Rachel is especially funny in this preview, telling Dean that she will do almost anything and everything that she can to help him — other than of course carry his barf bag.
To be sympathetic towards Dean for a minute, we definitely understand why there could be a little bit of fear that comes along with having to do something like hop aboard some giant balloon and drift off to the sky somewhere. Why would anyone want to do that? Even those of you who are thrill-seekers don’t get to jump out of the blimp or anything. You’re just floating around in what is basically a bus suspended in the air.
The good news for Dean is pretty simple: Him getting this date serves as a little more proof that he is considered a favorite to go far this season. He’s definitely in a far better place than how the public perceived him going into the season with that corny line during the After the Final Rose taping. He’s got a sense of humor, but there is more to him that makes him honest and open. There are plenty of people on this show who could use a little more of that.
Oh, and there will probably be a lot of other drama that is coming in this upcoming episode; after all, there still are some lightning rods there!
