Supergirl season 2 finale spoilers: Kara, Rhea, and trial by combat
In the case of this show, you are specifically going to have a chance to see Kara engage in such a trial with Rhea with one primary goal in mind: Stopping her once and for all in terms of taking over National City and turning the place over into New Daxam. She’s got a lot of resources on her side, including a ton of soldiers and a lot more experience at being crafty. Kara, meanwhile, has the advantage of being on her home turf. She understands National City and its people a whole lot better than someone like Rhea can ever hope to.
Here is one of the biggest problems that Kara could run into in theory over the course of this finale: The idea that Rhea is not being altogether honest, which is something that absolutely seems likely given who it is that we are talking about here! What are the odds that she is just trying to let Kara think that the two of them are on a level playing field? She totally feels like one of those people who would claim that the two have a fair fight only to then pull the rug out from under her while laughing at the same time over it.
Oh, and have we mentioned the presence of one General Zod in this preview enough just yet? Not quite sure that we have.
The photo above is actually from a different duel that is coming up, but one that could end up being very much exciting in its own right: A battle between Supergirl and Superman. It’s not entirely clear just what the reasoning for the two to bet at odds is, but odds are that it has to do with something that Rhea has either told him or is brainwashing him to do.
