NCIS: Los Angeles season 8 finale spoilers: Sam goes rogue

If you’re looking for some early NCIS: Los Angeles season 8 finale spoilers, we’ve got some for you here! For starters, let’s talk locations. The photo above shows Sam Hanna (LL Cool J) in a rather high-traffic area in Hollywood. Seeing things like that are almost immediate reminders as to just how much bigger a budget finales tend to have! Trying to get some of these locations are probably far from easy and very expensive.

Now that we’ve said that … let’s dive into what the remainder of the story for this episode is going to be.

NCIS: Los Angeles season 8 finale synopsis – “Following the kidnapping of Sam’s wife, Michelle Hanna (Aunjanue Ellis), Sam goes rogue from the NCIS team and attempts to stop his arch nemesis Tahir Khaled (Anslem Richardson) from ever targeting his family again, on the eighth season finale of NCIS: LOS ANGELES, Sunday, May 14 (8:00-9:00 PM, ET/PT), on the CBS Television Network. Erik Palladino guest stars as CIA Officer Vostanik Sabatino.”

For now, this is all that CBS is willing to tell us, and it makes sense that this would be what they would hype up given everything tonight. This is the second episode in a two-partner; this week’s episode is entitled “Uncaged,” and next week’s finale is “Unleashed.” In between that and the presence of Thair Khaled as a main story point, we’re not sure what other information you really need. There will also certainly be plenty to say in this episode in terms of Deeks and Kensi as we continue to see their story progress.

Of course, the big pull is watching Sam fight back after the (spoiler alert!) death of his wife Michelle.

With that said, we don’t think this finale is really meant to be a culmination of the entire season. We already had the entire storyline with the mole earlier, and that almost felt more in that vein than anything here. This story feels a tad more in the moment, and it may not be complete in the finale, either. NCIS: Los Angeles is an edition of the franchise that, even more so than the others, tends to use a number of cliffhangers that are pretty action-packed and dangerous. We don’t really mind it given what sort of show it is. Often, it’s best not to think of them in the terms of whether or a given character could die (they’ll almost always survive); instead, think of the finales more in the vein of how, and start to wonder what the writers could do to get some of these characters out of difficult spots.
