Chicago Fire season 5 episode 21 promo: Taylor Kinney’s Severide, a struggle

Chicago Fire season 5 episode 21

With Chicago Fire season 5 episode 21, we are gearing up for the end of the season. We’re firmly in the house stretch, and with that comes drama.

Over the course of this episode, one of the biggest things it looks like you could see is a personal story featuring Joe Minoso’s character of Cruz. We’re going to see him in a rough spot after something that happens away from work becomes an on-the-job concern. Given that we don’t get many Cruz storylines, it’s nice to see one now; the fact that it’s airing so close to the end of the season suggests further just how important he is to the Chicago Fire episode.

In addition to that, the synopsis below gives you more of a sense as to Casey’s latest work as Alderman, and to go along with that how Severide is going to be channeling some of his feelings in the midst of so much emotion and pain in his life as of late.

Chicago Fire season 5 episode 21 synopsis – “Cruz (Joe Minoso) finds himself in a bad spot when an off-duty incident begins to unravel, prompting Mouch (Christian Stolte) to step in and offer help in hopes of avoiding serious consequences from the CFD. Casey (Jesse Spencer) goes head to head with a big politician to get his measure for first responders passed. Lt. Severide (Taylor Kinney) makes life difficult for newest team member Jason Kannell (guest star Kamal Angelo Bolden) and Dawson (Monica Raymund) gets an unexpected visit from her father (guest star Daniel Zacapa).”

The appearance of Dawson’s father should provide a good full-circle moment near the end of the season, mostly because if you remember, his divorce earlier this season caused her a good bit of stress as she started to wonder what the meaning of a long-term relationship was if this was the outcome. Since that time she has had some victories and married Casey, but this has still been a rough year for her in between some professional struggles and losing Louie following the arrival of his biological father at the end of the 100th episode. This episode will set in motion some of the big events for the finale, whatever they end up being.

Following Anna’s death, the biggest thing we know is that Severide is in pain. We’ll see how that manifests itself.
