Gotham season 3 episode 17 promo: Mr. Freeze, Firefly return

Going into Gotham season 3 episode 17, there is obviously a great deal to look forward to. Specifically, we’re talking about Mr. Freeze and Firefly! Two very familiar villains from this show will be back for “Heroes Rise: The Primal Riddle,” though their specific role in the story is going to be unclear other than that they could team up. Basically, this sounds almost like Gotham is bringing their own version of Captain Cold and Heat Wave to the table minus the angry grunts and the Prison Break connection.

Beyond these two, we’re going to continue to see Edward Nygma run amok in the city now that he’s more firmly established who he is. Also, more Bruce 2 drama, though we’re not sure how much he compares to everything we’re getting with Bruce 1 at the moment.

Gotham season 3 episode 17 synopsis – “Some of Gotham’s most unhinged villains band together, while The Riddler continues his conquest of the city. Gordon is on a search for answers and all roads keep leading him back to the Court of Owls. Meanwhile, as Alfred begins to notice a change in Bruce, Bruce 2 confides in Selina (Camren Bicondova).”

Once more, there is clearly going to be a heck of a lot of stuff going on in this episode, with much of it building towards the arrival of Ra’s al Ghul near the end of the season. Beyond that, the Riddler is going to surely have a major presence on the show the rest of the way given the fact that almost the entirety of this arc is being marketed around him. We figure that this is mostly indicative of where he is in the story right now; plus, it’s hard to market around the Court of Owls given that they’re not flashy or interesting in the same sort of way as Nygma.

Promo – While this doesn’t give you a sense as to precisely all of the guest stars coming in the hour, this is another reminder that not all villains within Gotham get along … at all.
