NCIS: New Orleans season 3 episode 22 return date: The story of ‘Knockout’
First, let’s start with the date — the Scott Bakula series is going to return to CBS come Tuesday, May 2, which is when the first of the three final episodes of the season are going to air. The first episode will be titled “Knockout,” and based on the information that we have, Pride is going to be getting closer than ever to having the evidence to stop Mayor Hamilton once and for all.
NCIS: New Orleans season 3 episode 22 synopsis – “After the Belle Chase Navy Chaplain and pastor at Clearwater Baptist is murdered, Pride believes he found a connection between Mayor Hamilton (Steven Weber) and the illegal activity taking place in the city of Clearwater. Also, Percy continues to face repercussions of her choices on a previous case.”
We do really like what NCIS: New Orleans has done so far this season when it comes to setting up an ongoing central conflict to go along with some of the cases of the week. It’s almost what Criminal Minds tried to do this season with the Reid arc, but one of the reasons why it’s working well here as opposed to what’s going on over there is that Pride is still incorporated into everything else going on, and the Mayor Hamilton story is a little more seamless. It’s much harder to connect Reid while he is sitting behind bars to anything else that is going on at the moment with the show.
We’re excited to see ultimately what happens with the Hamilton case, and also if there is going to be a big cliffhanger given that there is already a season 4 renewal out there. We don’t necessarily think that this franchise always needs one, but it certainly is something that they’ve executed on various shows rather well over the years.
