The Walking Dead season 7 finale spoilers: Ezekiel’s rousing speech (video)

The Walking Dead season 7 finale spoilers

In today’s edition of The Walking Dead season 7 finale spoilers, we’re talking Ezekiel — specifically, we’re talking about how far Ezekiel is willing to go in order to inspire Morgan to fight alongside him and everyone else at the Kingdom.

As we recently saw, Morgan has been having a crisis of character. He recently made his first kill (Richard) in what has been a rather long time since he made his vow not to kill again. This shouldn’t be thought of as a complete about-face for the character. Instead, what we’re seeing here is an example of him realizing that there are certain necessarily evils, and a little war right now may be the only way to peace down the road. Morgan would likely kill rather than be killed, right? He’s going to get a chance to assist the team, and we’ll see what’s on the other side of Ezekiel’s rousing speech when the episode airs.

To us, the best part about this sneak peek is seeing Shiva wandering alongside the rest of the characters, acting as though this is something perfectly normal within this world. It’s also nice to see Carol with other people again after spending the majority of this season holed off and separate from most of the group.

As for where this season will end, that’s still up in the air. While the comics do have a clear direction for Negan, that does not necessarily mean that he’s going to be following the same path on The Walking Dead. It’s also not clear where the story on the show will leave off even if they do follow the comics. We’re certainly not putting it past them to deliver a big cliffhanger midway through a battle that makes you wait until season 8 in order to see what’s next since that’s something they just did to us in the season 6 finale. If nothing else, we imagine that it’s going to be different from the rest of what we’ve seen to date. There’ll likely be loss of life (we are VERY worried about Sasha), but it’s The Walking Dead — if the show was to go in some sort of other direction, we’d certainly consider it to be a disappointment.

What do you think — if you were Morgan, would you be moved by this speech? Share in the comments below!
