‘Shark Tank’ revisited: Nomiku, PetPlate, InBoard Technology, Nootrobox

PetPlate

Tonight, there is regrettably yet again a repeat of Shark Tank airing — the good news, however, is that this is the last time we’ll be announcing this for a while. The series will return to ABC with new episodes when we get around to next Friday!

For now, we want to spotlight once more the repeat airing tonight, and some of the products featured in it — Nomiku, PetPlate, InBoard Technology, and Nootrobox. If you missed our initial review for the episode, you can do so over at the link here. The following is what we’re thinking about the products and their growth today upon further reflection.

InBoard – It’s still a great product. There still does seem to be a market for it. We just have a hard time wrapping our head around it given that we’re talking about an electric skateboard selling for over a thousand bucks. It’s hard to ever see it entering the mainstream with that price tag attached. Maybe there’s enough of a market size out there that the price doesn’t matter nearly as much as it does to us.

PetPlate – For this human-quality pet-food company, we see the progression since the first show being mostly about streamlining the process and getting the word out there. We like everything that they’re doing in between the setup of their website and the ease of understanding the food quality. While we probably balked at the price during the first airing, in retrospect it makes a little more sense. It’s probably a little more than twice what we spend on dog foot a month, but you’re getting better quality without having to pick it up at the story.

Nootrobox – In reflecting on the product and doing some research, we do think that these nootropics / supplements / whatever you want to call them probably work. The chewable coffee product Go Cubes (which we didn’t know as much about during the episode first airing) are also more at the forefront now. This is really just all about whether or not you’ve got the budget to spend the money to improve your cognitive performance. Ideally, just setting good routines for yourself and having a healthy die can improve some of your facilities, even if you’re not getting an equal overall effect to having the Nootrobox arsenal around.

Nomiku – The product helps to make cooking via sous vide an ease, and since the initial Shark Tank appearance we’ve seen this technique be in the mainstream far more thanks to Starbucks selling an egg-bite apparently cooked in this way. We see an even brighter future for this than we once did, mostly because there are so many aspiring gourmets out there. Even if you don’t know how to cook like a chef, you want to at least put on that illusion. Nomiku helps with that.
