The Last Ship season 4 filming wraps; the waiting begins…
As you can see via the photo below from Bridget Regan, production for the TNT series is wrapping up for now, but this is also far from the end of the road for the series. It’s already been renewed through season 5, so there’s no reason for either you or the cast/crew to be concerned that they shot some of their final scenes of the entire series. (Granted, it’s possible that some characters die along the way … this is The Last Ship that we’re talking about here.)
Out of all of the different shows that are out there, we do think that this one does tend to have a very quiet production period. Part of that may be due to it being known as a fun summer show, and not one that people spend an incredible amount of time thinking about during the off-season. Another part of that may just be due to some of the filming locations, which aren’t always that accessible. It’s easy to keep some story elements under wraps when you are aboard a ship.
We do anticipate that The Last Ship season 4 is going to be an interesting one for Regan’s Sasha as well as the rest of the cast, as they have to potentially navigate some changes in leadership. There’s no guarantee that Chandler (Eric Dane) returns, and even if he does, there is yet again no guarantee that he will be the same man that he once was. Things do have a tendency to change often within this world, and for characters on this show, they just have to be prepared and aware of that. Then again, you have to consider that they probably are given that they’ve been through so much already as a result of the virus and the ensuing aftermath.
