Major Crimes season 5 episode 19 spoilers: Could Provenza retire?
So why would he possibly want to do something like leave his job — his bread and butter, and something so integral to who he is as a person? We’ve got some further details as to what is coming up next.
Major Crimes season 5 episode 19 synopsis – “As the war between bikes and cars escalates in the streets of L.A., Acting Assistant Chief Fritz Howard deploys Major Crimes to solve a tragic hit-and-run. Lt. Provenza, frustrated by the never-ending contest to succeed Russell Taylor, contemplates retirement.”
Basically, Provenza is a guy who likes to keep the majority of the drama contained to what he is doing out in the field. Therefore, he’s not going to be all that thrilled at the prospect at there being so much on-the-job conflict to the point where it stresses out almost everyone out incessantly. In turn, that makes it so much harder for everyone to keep their jobs.
We know that someday, Provenza will leave the job behind, but the same goes for every single character on this show. The biggest thing that you can hope for is that they stick around with the LAPD for the remainder of the series. We know that there will be a Major Crimes season 6, so we want Provenza around for that long at least! We’ll see what happens with the show after that, given that we don’t want to look all that far ahead unless we absolutely need to.
