Survivor: Game Changers episode 4 sneak peek: Preparing for double-elimination

Survivor: Game Changers episode 4 sneak peek

There are supposedly two vote-offs coming on Survivor: Game Changers episode 4, but you wouldn’t know that based solely on the sneak peek below.

In watching this, the only thing that you would know is that we’re getting a reward challenge concept that’s a little bit different. Rather than having the whole tribes compete, Jeff Probst makes it clear that there are only going to be two people taking part in this challenge for each tribe. This is a huge asset to the Mana tribe in particular, given that they’ve got some weaker challenge competitors. On the flip side, you can argue that they’ll be really hurting not having Caleb here, but putting people like Brad Culpepper and Sierra Dawn Thomas out there should prove to be enough to keep the competitive.

The other surprise here is that we’re even getting a Reward Challenge in an episode where there are two Tribal Councils. How are they going to fit this plus the Immunity Challenge and the Tribal Councils in there? Maybe this is an episode where we have a couple of predictable boots, but Jeff’s facial reactions in the preview suggest somewhat otherwise.

If we’re looking at the state of these tribes at present, there are some obvious people with a target on their back. For example, JT’s in big trouble of getting picked off of Nuku just for being on the wrong side of the numbers and not having an immunity idol. Hali’s now in the same position over on Mana now that Caleb is not in the game anymore. Meanwhile, the green tribe Tavua could be in one of the post interesting positions given that Troyzan found an immunity idol and it doesn’t seem like anyone knows it. Therefore, if they go to Tribal Council and he knows he is the target, he can just choose to play it and get rid of anyone he wants. Based on the edit, it feels like Andrea would be a target of his just because he doesn’t trust her.

We do hope that we see some bigger swings and some crazy Tribal moments over the next few weeks. While the season’s been to date very entertaining, we do also think that the actual vote-offs have been fairly predictable through three episodes. The show’s tried its best to make them dramatic, but at times it’s been challenging.
