NCIS season 14 episode 19 return date: When Mark Harmon, cast are back
This installment is going to air in just two weeks on Tuesday, March 28, and the more that you read about it, the more you’ll be aware of just how important this one is.
Synopsis – “When a Marine is murdered at an event for the Honor Flight Network, a non-profit that arranges for veterans to visit the World War II, Korea and Vietnam War Memorials for free, the NCIS team must rely on an irritable Vietnam War veteran, Henry Rogers (Bruce McGill), to provide details on the victim’s whereabouts throughout the day. Also, McGee and Bishop investigate a juicy rumor about Quinn and Torres.”
This is obviously an episode that is a little more important than the average hour of NCIS, given that the show is using its tremendous resources in order to highlight an extraordinary organization doing great things to help people all over the country remember their own time fighting for our freedom. There will be a case here that needs to be solved — and there will certainly be comedy courtesy of McGee and Bishop — but we’re going to have a serious tribute, as well. The reason for this title is that “The Wall” is most likely meant as a tribute to the Vietnam Veterans Memorial, which is a wall bearing the names of those who were lost. You know McGill from his work from Rizzoli & Isles, and it will be nice to see him back on the air playing a different sort of character.
As for the reason for all of the scheduling delays with this show (it does seem to air one or two episodes followed by a break), that’s just part for the course with NCIS! This is something that clearly works for them, so there is probably not any desire or need to fix things. The ratings may be down this season, but it’s not any different than the majority of the other shows airing on CBS.
