Law & Order: SVU season 18 spoilers: The latest scheduling switcheroo

The scheduling carousel for Law & Order: SVU season 18 continues today, and on this particular occasion, we’re not even discussing the controversial Donald Trump episode.

Instead, we’re discussing the ever-rotating schedule for “Know It All,” an installment that was first slated to air on NBC March 22 but has now been delayed until Wednesday, April 5 at 9:00 p.m. Eastern time. Maybe this is an installment that the show feels is better suited for closer to the finale, or maybe they think that the other episodes are a little more relevant to the present. It’s rather difficult to say.

What we do know is that the March 22 airing for the show on NBC is now going to be for the episode “Genes,” which is the installment featuring a man who proclaims that he is genetically predisposed to commit rape, something that Benson (Mariska Hargitay) asserts is not possible.

Meanwhile, the upcoming March 29 installment will be “Net Worth.” This is the installment that will feature former Rookie Blue star Missy Peregrym in the role of a top-level investment banker who accuses one of her clients, a billionaire (Tate Donovan), of rape. The problems that unfold from this should be rather clear: A powerful man trying to leverage that to get whatever he wants, and a woman being forced into a situation where her job could end up pressuring her to give in or be quiet about something terrible that a client so valuable did.

Unfortunately, we don’t have too much more for you now than this, largely because over time NBC’s become increasingly coy about giving away too many details on upcoming episodes. We do understand that, given that so much of these stories are about watching cases unfold. We just hope that continuity purposes, there are not some personal details sprinkled within these episodes that start to make less sense once they are placed out of order. (Given that show is very procedural, it’s probably unlikely to be the case.)

For all of the SVU cast and crew in New York, be safe during the blizzard! Luckily, it does seem like many of them have the day off.
