Arrow season 5, episode 16 preview: Moving past the Adrian Chase reveal

Who is Prometheus -

Who is Prometheus? It’s the question on the tip of the tongue for many Arrow fans, and tonight, there were answers: It was Adrian Chase all along.

There is no new episode of the CW show next week, as we’re going to get a rare break in the action since the show returned with new episodes this January. The series will be back on Wednesday, March 15 with “Checkmate,” a title that certainly suggests some intensity is coming.

Synopsis – “Oliver (Stephen Amell) gets closer to the truth about Prometheus. Meanwhile, Helix refuses to continue helping Felicity (Emily Bett Rickards) until she does a favor for them.”

What’s great about this episode is that it seems to be paying off two different stories at the same time: The Big Bad of the season, and Felicity’s actions with her mysterious hacker group. Teaming up with Helix to date has produced invaluable results for Felicity, but we figured she’d have to pay the piper for it eventually. This could be that chance for it to happen. Hopefully, some of these answers are going to come your way, and there will be some reasons to be excited for everything that is coming up this season.

Getting back to the Prometheus shocker

It was tough to know who the leading candidates were just because the show wasn’t giving you many. You could argue that Talia al Ghul is under that mask, and then there were some of the crazier theories like the Tommy Merlyn one. We’ve said this a few times, though — it doesn’t really matter who was under the mask as much as it did the reasoning behind it.

In the end, having it be Adrian was a very interesting move that we didn’t see coming, just because he was someone who we felt confident about being Vigilante, mostly because that was the way it was in the comics.
