Dancing with the Stars 24 spoilers: Normani Kordei, bullrider Bonner Bolton reportedly cast
Bolton’s casting was first reported by Entertainment Tonight, who claims that he will be performing this season with Sharna Burgess, who is getting really good at pairing with people we haven’t heard of from various sports. Last season, it was IndyCar driver James Hinchcliffe.
This site also reports that it is Normani Kordei who is the Fifth Harmony member on board this season with Val Chmerkovskiy, while you will also see comedian / actor Chris Kattan make an appearance. Nick Viall will be performing with Peta Murgatroyd, who is appearing on the first time since giving birth. The entire cast will be announced a little bit later this week.
Based on most of the cast we’ve heard about so far (read more names here), for the time being we’re feeling fairly optimistic. For one, we’re glad that there are no people overtly political on the cast for either side, given that this is something that we’ve frankly seen enough of for a rather long time now and there’s enough of it going on elsewhere. Also, it’s good that there are many familiar faces including people like Charo who will appeal to older audiences.
Are there some head-scratchers in terms of parity? Sure, given that Simone Biles and Heather Morris seem to be so far ahead of everyone that it’s not even close. Morris in particular is already well-known as a dancer, and while we loved her on Glee, we really don’t understand the logic here despite the show wanting some really fantastic performances and someone to threaten Biles for the title.
Also, it’s going to be strange watching a season without Cheryl Burke, Derek Hough, Mark Ballas, and Tony Dovolani as pros. Hey, at least Kym Johnson will be returning!
