‘Victoria’ episode 7 (finale) preview: The Jenna Coleman series ends (for now) on PBS
It may still seem like yesterday that “Victoria” first premiered on PBS, but there is a pretty clear reason for that — this isn’t a show that has all that many weeks on the air! The first two episodes (at least per the way that ITV counts the installments) aired in America on the same night, so this is a fairly short story that chronicles everything from the Queen meeting Albert to the big occasion in the finale, one in which her personal future, and her future as a monarch, could be further cemented. The story has moved rather quickly, possibly in part because no one knew how the series was going to fare. With so much of the love story between Victoria and Albert chronicled, it will be interesting to see what the second season entails!
For those who are wondering, there IS in fact a second season — it was renewed by ITV last year. That’s one less thing to worry about.
Before sharing the synopsis, a quick reminder that the finale is not airing until Sunday, March 5.
Episode 7 synopsis – “On the verge of the big day, Victoria spurns advice and wanders outside of the palace walls, attracting the devoted and demented alike.”
As for more specifics, let’s just say that without giving TOO much away, there will be some familiar faces who return, and to go along with that, there will be some threats to undermine the authority of the crown. One of the biggest struggles so far this season has been Victoria doing her best to convince others that her union will work, and we don’t think that this will go away. There could be some romance here and there, but it may be geared towards other characters just as much as it is Victoria. There is a lot to look forward to, provided that you’ve enjoyed the series to do, and we’re curious to see how the show handles moving forward into significant global events.
