‘Bull’ episode 14 preview: Who’s getting arrested — and who’s getting hacked?

Bull -It’s one thing for the TAC on “Bull” to stop someone from rigging a match in an eSports competition as they did on this past episode of the show; it’s another thing altogether to have them take on a case that could have massive government implications.

There’s certainly a part of Tuesday night’s new episode entitled “It’s Classified” that brings to mind cases such as those of Chelsea Manning and Edward Snowden, mostly because you’re dealing with something that is as sensitive as the release of classified government documents. The military is going to be involved (after all, Bull is representing an Army analyst who served as a whistleblower), and there is going to be tension within the TAC like never before between Bull and some of the people who work for him. Specifically, Benny’s decision to not share some redacted information leads to a tense standoff, and at some point during the episode, it may also lead to an arrest.

To make matters worse, someone’s not going to be altogether pleased that Bull is choosing to take this case, given that we’re going to see the TAC be hacked over the course of the hour.

One of the great things about an episode like this is that you’re going to have an opportunity to dive within a case that is twisted and fascinating, but also simultaneously non-political in nature. We don’t think that the show will be necessarily out to enforce a point of view on anyone who followed the Manning or Snowden case closely; what this episode could be useful for, on the other hand, is offering up some sort of perspective for people who are out there and may not be all that familiar with some of the moving parts in these cases. Hopefully, this fictionalized account will give a greater sense of the humanity that is involved with some of these decisions, and how government does choose to handle issues this sensitive in nature.
