The latest ‘NCIS’ – ‘NCIS: New Orleans’ crossover promo is here!
For everyone out there who does enjoy both “NCIS” and its “New Orleans” spin-off, Tuesday is going to be a huge night for you. Typically, we only get one big crossover event a year, and this one (entitled “Pandora’s Box”) is going to feature a lot of action and an undercover mission like no other. Given that there are some new characters on the show that weren’t there for previous crossovers, this is also going to have a little bit of a different flair than any that have been brought to the table so far.
The promo below gives you a small sense of that, and makes it clear in the process that Nick Torres (Wilmer Valderrama) is going to be one of the people who spends the majority of his time in New Orleans undercover. This crossover is not going to be one where every actor from both shows appears over the course of the two hours; it’s a little more concentrated, but there is a story that specifically carries over from one episode of the show to the next.
As for what this story is, let’s just say that it revolves around a “terror playbook,” which could offer up valuable government secrets to organizations out to destroy America. If this falls into the wrong hands, it could lead to World War III. Therefore, it’s pretty darn understandable why you are going to see so many characters hard-pressed to find this playbook after it is stolen.
One thing that does surprise us about the crossover is that CBS does not seem to be interested in swapping around “NCIS: New Orleans” and “Bull” for the night to carry one episode over directly into the next. “New Orleans” has experienced a slide this season in the ratings, and this could be a way to get some more devoted viewers back into the show once more.
