‘Jane the Virgin’ season 3, episode 11 preview: What’s next after shocking death

Jane the Virgin -To call last night’s “Jane the Virgin” episode shocking would be putting it really mildly. This was arguably the biggest episode of the entire series, given that all of the warnings when it came to Michael paid off in the most devastating way possible. Losing him at this point in the story changes everything, both in terms of the relationships on the show and how Jane moves forward as a mother.

In the wake of this episode, we know that there are some people out there who feel completely crushed, and were rooting for Jane and Michael to be together for the rest of the series. Yet, the old saying is that the show must go on. We will see Jane move forward, and the story itself is going to be jumping ahead a few years. Therefore, there will be some distance from the tragedy, though the memory of Michael is something that will very much still remain.

Synopsis – “Working in publishing is not what Jane (Gina Rodriguez) thought it would be, until she learns about a showcase for up and coming writers. With Petra (Yael Grobglas) helming the Marbella, she decides to rebrand the hotel, but quickly butts heads with the rival hotel next door. Rogelio (Jaime Camil) and Darci (guest star Justina Machado) have made a new arrangement which has put a strain on his relationship with Xo (Andrea Navedo). Meanwhile, Jane and Rafael (Justin Baldoni) try to figure out the best solution to Mateo’s behavioral issues and they both seem to have different approaches.”

While the promo below is somber and worthy of more tears, we don’t envision that the show will venture too far from what it’s known to be. This is a show, but it’s one that is born within a reality where bad things do happen. They have to find the light within darkness, and show at times many characters finding the right way to move forward. You’ll see some of that moving into this episode.
