Ratings: ‘Timeless’ holds firm; ‘Gotham’ and ‘Supergirl’ slide

Timeless -While we understand that there were a wide array of different shows on the air Monday night, the main subject of conversation here at the site has to do with some of the numbers for “Timeless.” This is a show that we love, and it’s absolutely one that we want to see sticking around on the air for a little while longer.

So how were the ratings for lat night? The good news is that they didn’t fall further from its recent performance. The show drew a 0.9 rating in the 18-49 demographic, the same number that it had for the two episodes that aired before it. To go along with that, the show also had close to 3.5 million viewers. It’s holding steady, and while it’s not clear if that will be enough, we know that personally we could see the show faring well in the event that it was moved to Friday nights in the place of “Grimm.”

Also, you have to remember that this show isn’t getting all that much of a lead-in. “The Celebrity Apprentice” only drew a 1.0 rating before it.

As for some other ratings on the night…

CBS – The only thing new on the episodes were two episodes of “The Odd Couple,” and they drew a 1.1 and a 0.9 rating in the demo.

Fox – “Gotham” fell for its winter finale, where it ended up scoring a 1.1 rating. Meanwhile, “Lucifer” tied its most-recent rating with a 1.2.

ABC – “The Bachelor” continues to reign supreme as the top show of the night, and it really wasn’t close this time around. After all, it drew a 2.3 rating! “Quantico” slid slightly to a 0.8 rating, which is still better than it was faring on Sunday nights. Still, you can’t get that excited about a show drawing that rating when you stop for a minute and consider that it lost almost two-thirds of the lead-in that came before it. You just aren’t retaining most of that crowd!

The CW – “Supergirl” fell once more to a 0.7 rating, while “Jane the Virgin” posted a 0.3, which is in line with most of its recent performances.
