Could ‘X Factor’ alums Matt Terry, Saara Aalto record duet together?

Matt Terry -

Is there a chance for some beautiful music coming up for Matt Terry and Saara Aalto? The two contestants grew close while on this past season of “The X Factor,” and judging from one of Matt’s latest posts on social media, a duet is something that could be coming up in the future.

As you can see in the tweet below, Matt makes it clear that he and Saara “may have a little surprise coming up this year” — which is a rather ambiguous amount of time. This could just be a reference to the fact that nobody quite knows as of yet when the debut albums for these two artists are going to eventually be released. We do know that a duet in theory does make absolutely perfect sense, given the fact that both have sensational voices, they blend well together, and they became close friends over the course of the season.

Also, since leaving the show, both Saara and Matt are a part of the Sony Music family.

We will certainly admit that in terms of pure potential, the sky is the limit with all of the top three from last season — especially now that 5 After Midnight has also officially signed a deal with Syco. The challenge that they all face is strictly the fact that their careers face further challenges than some of the people that have won in the past. They were on a season watched by a viewer total number of people than many of the other seasons that came before them. Therefore, they have more people to try to win over. If you think back to the Matt Cardle – One Direction season, ratings were through the roof then! The boy band was a household name even before they released their first album. When they did, they were able to use that to launch themselves into international superstardom.

Expect more from all of these singers a little bit later in the year, and a return trip to the show certainly isn’t out of the question. They probably have better odds of that for now than Honey G based on her own recent sales for “The Honey G Show.”
