‘The Bachelor’ spoilers: Danielle Maltby is Nick Viall’s first one-on-one date; will she discuss late fiance?

Danielle -While there was a time when the second episode of “The Bachelor” or “The Bachelorette” contained two one-on-one dates and then only a single group date, that time has since passed ever since the shows started casting more and more contestants. Now, we get two group dates and a solo date over the course of the premiere.

The recipient of the first one-on-one date is nurse Danielle Maltby, which is exciting to us for many different reasons. First, she’s one of the older contestants this season, which is nice just to know that Nick Viall is not snubbing women over the age of 25; also, she’s someone who seems to be worthy of a little more time right away. She’s got more of an emotional story than the other contestants this season, having lost her fiance in the past. It’s not clear if she will tell him the story during their time together, but the attached synopsis certainly makes it appear as though it could possibly happen:

“Danielle M. is the lucky woman who gets the first one-on-one date of the season. Nick takes Danielle to an awaiting yacht off Newport Beach, where they share some sexy hot-tub time and then a romantic dinner on Balboa Island. Danielle, humble and sweet, is particularly vulnerable to the details of her heartbreaking past, but will she be able to open up this early on and share that with Nick?”

Would it be a Bachelor date without a hot tub? Given that we’ve seen the show literally throw one in the middle of nowhere, having one on a yacht seems like nothing.

This date is especially interesting to us given that this is probably the first time in the show’s history that they’ve had a date in a place we frequently visit; as a matter of fact, we were down at the Balboa Pier days before filming and there were notices everywhere that there was going to be a production coming down there. Wasn’t that hard to figure out. It’ll be exciting to see a familiar hang featured on the show, though we do have this admitted fear that in the show doing this, it’s going to be a lot more crowded over the next couple of months.

Do you think Danielle should share her story with Nick this early on? Share below, and be sure to head over here if interested in getting a particularly-fun take on “The Bachelor” courtesy of one Joel McHale. (Photo: ABC.)
