‘MacGyver’ episode 12 video: Check out Amy Acker’s return and much more

MacGyver -On Friday night, “MacGyver” is going to be coming back on the air, and judging from the promo below, this one is going to be arguably one of the most exciting and interesting ones to date.

The biggest reason to be pumped for “Screwdriver” is simply a matter of returning characters. Love Amy Acker? Then rest assured that she is back as Sarah! Nervous for MacGyver? Well, you should be given that Murdoc and Nikki are going to be returning in some shape or form, as well. They are two of the biggest villains that we’ve seen on the show to date — at least if you want to call Nikki a villain. There’s a lot of ambiguity there, and for the time being she’s almost the equivalent of Moriarty / Irene Adler on “Elementary.” It is fairly hard to tell precisely what she wants and who she is allied with the vast majority of the time.

This promo also has almost everything that you could possibly want in terms of variety. There’s a little bit of action, some romance, some drama, and a little bit of Bozer comedy. The more we get of him and Riley in the same scene, the happier that we are — and also the happier that we’re probably going to be in the end in the event the two actually get together.

Before we sign off here, let’s go ahead and give you the synopsis for the episode, just in case you have not had a chance to see it before now:

“Using a screwdriver and bug spray, MacGyver must find the U.S. government mole who is leaking classified intel to the organization that is trying to take down The Phoenix Foundation. Also, Sarah (Amy Acker) returns to help with the mission, and Nikki (Tracy Spiridakos) reappears, but Mac can’t tell which side she’s on.”
