‘The Vampire Diaries’ season 8: Could another key character become vampire before finale?

The eighth season of “The Vampire Diaries” is currently in the process of wrapping up a hiatus, and when the show returns in the new year, there are going to be many orders of business coming up. For example, Stefan’s now a ripper, he and Damon are fully under Cade’s control, and it’s certainly not clear how either one of them is going to find their way out of this predicament moving forward.

By the end of the series, though, this may be just the beginning of all of the craziness that we imagine that we’re going to have a chance to witness. We’ve already heard reports that one beloved characters is not going to make it to the end of the series, and if that was not enough to sound some alarms out there, we’ve also heard that an upcoming episode of the show is going to feature one character debating as to whether or not to become a vampire.

According to The CW, the upcoming January 20 installment entitled “The Simple Intimacy of the Near Tough” is going to feature Bonnie returning home from a getaway with a vial of Enzo’s blood around her neck. In turn, this makes Caroline wonder whether or not she is going to eventually undergo the transformation. It’d be bizarre that if this happens, it’d mean that all three of our main female characters who started off human eventually became vampires by the end of the series. The odds of that happening felt unlikely starting this season, but at this point, almost anything is possible.

As for two other things that are interesting about this episode, you’re going to have a chance to see a pageant, and Sybil is also still around — just in case anyone out there was wondering as to whether or not her last appearance was her big finale.
