‘Bones’ season 12 spoilers: How long will Zack be around?

Going into the twelfth and final season of “Bones,” one of the teases that is worth getting excited about is the opportunity to see more of Zack Addy on the show. This is a character who was once prominent, but was gone for quite a long time before surfacing in a rather ominous way during this past finale.

Does this mean that the character’s intentions moving forward are strictly nefarious? Not necessarily, but this is one of many different things that has to be considered. Speaking to TVLine, we learn that there are going to be three episodes featuring Eric Millegan as the character, with the final one being the eleventh and penultimate installment of the series. This one will carry over into the series finale, and executive producer Michael Peterson notes that it will be very much different from some of the other installments that you’ve seen over the years:

“It’s going to cover a 24-hour period of time, and it gives a lot of setup for Episode 12. It’s a very strange episode.”

Is strange a good thing with this show? Typically, and one thing that we like about the idea is the potential to see more characters away from the Jeffersonian or doing things that we don’t often see at the show? Typically, it’s structured in a way that we get some scenes on the job, and presumably ones that take place over the course of several days if not weeks. we’re always down for a little bit of experimenting with this show, especially when carries over to something presumably epic in the final episode.

The final season of “Bones” will premiere on Fox early in the new year; we’ll (of course) continue to provide you with further news before we get around to the time of it airing.
