NBC’s ‘Grimm’ season 6 spoilers: First look at ‘Fugitive’ premiere

Grimm -

For those of you who have been craving some further insight into the return of “Grimm,” we come bearing what we very much believe to be great news: Some of the first official scoop from the upcoming season 6 premiere! This marks a chance to see what is effectively the beginning of the end of an era, where mysteries and monsters have run rampant in the city of Portlant.

The title for the premiere episode (airing on January 6) is “Fugitive,” and judging from the official NBC synopsis below, there’s a pretty darn good reason for that name:

“Following the massacre in Nick’s (David Giuntoli) loft, Capt. Renard (Sasha Roiz) is hell bent on eliminating him once and for all. Hank (Russell Hornsby) and Wu (Reggie Lee) head back to the precinct to keep an eye on the Captain and help give the gang the upper hand. Meanwhile, Monroe (Silas Weir Mitchell) and Rosalee (Bree Turner) grapple with staying in Portland now that their family will be expanding.”

One of the funnier things about reading this is that if you were thinking logically, odds are the best thing that you could tell Monroe and Rosalee is to run far, far away from this chaotic and towards something that serves as a better source of stability. As for whether or not they’ll actually make the move, we have a hard time seeing it immediately. These are characters who, for one reason or another, may feel a certain degree of responsibility to see everything out. There’s an inherent risk that comes with that, but if they are willing to take said risk who is to say that what they’re doing is right or wrong?

As for Nick’s current situation, let’s just say that there is a reason for him to worry.
