‘Big Brother 19’: When will it premiere, and should anyone from ‘Big Brother OTT’ be included?

Big Brother -

Tonight marked the end of the road for “Big Brother OTT,” but of course there will be more of the CBS franchise before you know it!

Next summer, the show is going to return with all-new episodes, and we’re interested to see precisely how the show is going to move forward from much of what worked in this season, and also much of what didn’t. Personally, we do think that the biggest takeaway we have from “Big Brother OTT” is that America being almost-constantly involved is not a good thing. It can lead to toxic environments both in the house and out of it, and that reduces some of the fun. Hopefully, CBS sees this as more of an incentive to keep the summer show based on gameplay within the house in order to differentiate it further from the fall version — provided that this comes back.

More than likely, expect “Big Brother 19” to premiere at some point within the third or fourth week in June.

In terms of the cast, we know that there’s always a chance that someone from this season could come back for the summer version. The only three, for now, we can envision coming back are Danielle, Justin, and Shelby, at least in terms of them being great characters. With that said, we’re not sure any of them have a great chance of winning a season. In the case of Danielle and Shelby, they’re far too opinionated and aren’t going to be quiet about that when they need to be; Justin, meanwhile, is great live-feed entertainment but doesn’t have much of a grasp on the game and we don’t see that changing.

As for a Jason return, we could imagine it happening, but more for an All-Stars season than one with just one or two returning players. He’s already done that, and there’s nothing more to see there.
