‘Gotham’ season 3, episode 12 preview: Jerome is back, but how? Return date speculation
Tonight, the fall finale of “Gotham” is going to be coming on Fox, and the show is doing something a little bit different / unusual in mapping out the path for the remainder of the season.
Given that “24: Legacy” is going to be coming to Monday nights for its new season following it airing after the Super Bowl, what Fox seems to be looking at in terms of the Ben McKenzie series is this: Giving you a small handful of episodes in the new year, and then putting the show on hiatus again for a lengthier period of time.
According to The Futon Critic, the show’s going to return with new episodes come Monday, January 16, and will be on for a few weeks until we get around to the end of the month. From there, the hiatus will begin most likely until we get around until April. At that point, the show will probably come back and air out the remainder of the season. We’re still so far out from that, though, that it’s hard to figure out necessarily what direction we’re going to see the show take, especially when it comes to the villains that they could be introducing.
So much of our enjoyment of the show at this point is largely subjective. For example, we really enjoyed the end of the second season because of Hugo Strange, but haven’t quite felt as though there’s as fascinating of an adversary this time around. The Court of Owls are intimidating, but because they don’t really have a physical presence they are not the easiest adversaries in the world to grasp onto. Could that change moving forward? Well, let’s just say a certain video below has us excited…
Promo – There’s no confirmation of a return date, but Jerome is back! Given that he was apparently dead last we saw him, this should prove interesting. Cameron Monaghan is exceptional in this role, but the producers at the same time have to exercise caution with how many “revivals” they really bring your way given that over time, it may be hard to believe anyone’s actually dead.
