‘Gotham’ season 3, episode 11 preview: Will Gordon stop Mario and Lee’s wedding?
Next week’s new episode of “Gotham” looks to be big one for a wide array of different reasons, with one of the biggest ones being that it could be the principal occasion in which everything comes to a head for Jim Gordon. As many out there now know, Lee Thompkins is going to be getting married to Mario … or at least it seems that way right now. Jim is one of the people who could have the capacity to stop it, or at least it currently seems to be the case on paper. The relationship history is there between him and Lee, and he made it clear via the Mad Hatter that there are still some rather-deep feelings that are still there for his ex.
So what’s going to be coming up in next week’s “Mad City: Beware the Green-Eyed Monster”? Let’s just say that there is a confrontation that could set the stage for some rather-epic fireworks that are going to be coming up in the near future.
Synopsis – “As the virus begins to spread in Gotham, the laboratory that is developing a cure is compromised. Mario and Gordon face off before the wedding, Selina meets an unexpected face and Barbara comes to Nygma with information about Isabella.”
It’s fairly easy to imagine that Oswald could find himself in some extremely hot water by the end of the season, largely because of the fact that Nygma’s actions are probably going to catch back up to him at some point. Barbara also has a further reason to bury the Penguin, given that his frame job is damaging someone she really cares about in Tabitha. From a viewer perspective, this could be a lot of fun to watch unfold — but we’re not sure we’d say that the fates of all of these characters are safe and sound in the long run.
Promo – It does look like we’re at least getting to the wedding itself; also, all signs point to Bruce and Selina Kyle working together in order to properly infiltrate the Court of Owls.
