‘Outlander’ season 3 casts Hannah James and Tanya Reynolds as Dunsany sisters
Sure, “Outlander” season 3 may be ages away from its premiere on Starz at the moment, bu who doesn’t love a little bit of casting news to help get you through the hiatus?
Today, we’ve learned a pair of names that are going to be added to the cast in the role of the books’ famed Dunsany sisters. Note that we say that for the benefit of people familiar with the source publication; personally, we choose to not read the books or look too much into spoilers because we like to go into the show with an independent mind.
Here’s a little more information about both castings.
Hannah James – The “Mercy Street” actress will be playing the role of Geneva, someone described as terribly headstrong and someone who comes from an extremely privileged life.
Tanya Reynolds – Meanwhile, the relative newcomer will be taking on the part of Isobel, the younger of the two sisters. She is the one perceived as being the more likable of the two, and therefore we imagine that there will be more of a pull towards cheering her on.
“Outlander” does a tremendous job at a wide array of different things, but casting easily tops the list. They do an exemplary job time and time again of finding actors who may not be particularly well-known, but are immediately perfect for their parts. It is similar in some ways with what “Game of Thrones” does, even if here and there you do see a Ciaran Hinds make their way into the cast.
Season 3 of the series is currently in production, and will likely premiere this spring. Given that there is more filming still to come, we imagine that there are some more casting updates to be announced.
