‘Legends of Tomorrow’ season 2, episode 5 preview: Damien Darhk returns in the Reagan era
Next week, we’re jumping forward more than a hundred years in time, where there will be new threats, new revelations, the return of younger Martin Stein (who we last saw during the early episodes of season 1), and also Damien Darhk back at the center of the action. To date, he’s been the most-prominent member of the Legion of Doom featured on the show, though we know more of the Reverse-Flash is coming. Captain Cold will be turning up come the midseason finale.
Synopsis – “When the Legends trace a timequake to President Reagan’s White House, they are shocked to discover their old enemy Damien Darhk (guest star Neal McDonough) is now a Senior Adviser to Reagan. As the team works to uncover what Darhk has up his devious sleeve, Sara (Caity Lotz) struggles with the choice of getting revenge or helping with the team’s larger mission. Thinking that the JSA members could be of help, Amaya (Maisie Richardson-Sellers) and Nate (Nick Zano) break into the JSA and are surprised at what they find. Meanwhile, Stein (Victor Garber) tries to prevent his younger self from creating an even bigger time Abberation.”
May this episode bring back some additional members of the JSA? It’s been told already that we we are going to be meeting an older version of the Obsidian character, and perhaps this is the opportunity for us to see him.
Promo – Amazing. for one, you’ve got some tangible evidence that the show is specifically referencing the presence of Rex Tyler’s killer in this timeline. Also, you have Mick Rory punching a radio playing “I Just Died in Your Arms Tonight.” Let’s go ahead and add this to the list of things that Rory hates — and as you know, that’s a pretty darn long list at this point.
