‘Supergirl’ season 2 spoilers: When will James Olsen become the Guardian?
There are a few interesting things coming up in the immediate future on “Supergirl,” and one of the more interesting ones could be seeing James Olsen try his hand at becoming a costumed hero in his own right. As for why he would want to, it’s pretty easy to figure that out. Like any other person in National City, he wants to do his part in order to protect it. However, the tricky part that comes along with this is that he doesn’t actually have any superpowers, and he’s not even telling Kara Danvers in advance that he is the one suiting up in this outfit.
You’re going to get a chance to see Mehcad Brooks as this side of the character for the first time on the upcoming November 14 episode entitled “Changing,” which he will do in order to help Supergirl after an alien parasite swoops in and saps her of most of her power. Therefore, the need for him to help is clearly there, but it seems hard to imagine that he would be able to take on a super-dangerous alien.
As for some other teases from this episode…
1. Get ready to see Mon-El make a surprising move in regards to his future, and it could change the perception of him in a big way.
2. Alex is going to have a hard time dealing with what The CW calls a “new reality.” We’re not entirely sure what that means, but we do certainly think that it is interesting.
Ultimately, the big takeaway that we have from previewing this episode so far in advance is that as this season goes on, we’re only going to be seeing more and more characters get involved in the business of crime-fighting … probably to varying results.
