‘Dancing with the Stars 23’ results: Was Amber Rose, Jana Kramer, or Calvin Johnson eliminated?
Given that “Dancing with the Stars” has yet to have an elimination this season that we considered truly shocking, there was a part of us expecting one on Monday night. This is especially true when you consider that every person left in the competition is pretty talented on the dance floor.
Going into the show tonight, we thought that Ryan Lochte and Cheryl Burke were going to be the pair in the greatest amount of jeopardy, but that turned out to not necessarily be the case. They were the first couple on the night declared safe! Instead, over the course of the show we learned that Calvin Johnson / Lindsay Arnold, Amber Rose / Maksim Chmerkovskiy, and Jana Kramer / Gleb Savchenko were the three pairs “in jeopardy” — not necessarily the bottom three.
In looking at this group, it made the most sense for it to be Amber and Maks who were sent packing. Calvin is just too popular with football fans, and it’d be really awkward for Jana to go home on the same night that she got a perfect score.
When we saw that the “bottom two” was Calvin and Amber, this felt even more assured that she was going home. We thought that Amber would’ve got a slight bump because of Maks’ announcement that he is leaving the show (at least for now) after this season, but that didn’t turn out to be the case. She is gone, but she had a pretty decent run of a few weeks. We never thought that they were going to win the season, but at least they had a really fun relationship that was interesting to watch over the course of the season. Apparently, though, we did overrate her in our personal rankings, putting her at #5 for the week.
