‘Grey’s Anatomy’ season 13, episode 4 video: Alex struggles to adjust
When Thursday night’s new episode of “Grey’s Anatomy” comes on the air, we’re going to specifically find the character of Alex in a different sort of spot than he’s used to, one where he has to face the possibility of not being a surgeon. He has to adjust to life in the clinic, working to deliver vaccinations and doing the less-flashy sort of medicine.
Based on the sneak peek below, this is not going to be an easy transition for him in the slightest, as he struggles to handle being told what to do by a nurse, and how he cannot even get a little time off to tend to something personal. This is a far cry from where he was, but at the same time, he should just be grateful to have a job in the first place. All you have to do is remember for a second where he was heading before this after DeLuca and his attorneys decided to push for a felony charge.
Beyond what we see on the surface here, it’s hard to know precisely where this is going other than a place that will likely continue to deliver great material for Justin Chambers. He has a chance with this story to display a good range of different emotions, and to express more vulnerability from Alex. He’s still going to have to work in order to win over Jo, if it is even possible at this point. Given her own history of violence in relationships, she may not be so keen to take the chance.
We’ll have more of a breakdown on what is coming for Alex after Thursday’s episode airs in full.
