‘Ballers’ season 3: Premiere date speculation for Dwayne Johnson series
Tonight, we’re going to get a chance to see the finale for “Ballers” season 2, and in turn hopefully will get to answer one important question: What’s going to happen with Spencer Strasmore? How in the world can he move forward given his physical and mental state? He’s putting almost his entire life on the line to figure out if he can purchase Anderson Financial, and if that fails, we certainly worry for what could be coming up next for him.
While we cannot give you any spoilers on the season finale just yet (we’ll have our full review for it later), what we can give you for the time being is some of the first insight on the upcoming third season. First and foremost, how about a reminder that the show is actually getting a season 3 in the first place? HBO officially renewed the series a little bit earlier in the summer, so there’s no need to worry about the future.
As for when it could premiere, a safe bet is at some point in 2017. We do know that Dwayne Johnson is a very busy guy given that he’s one of the most profitable actors working right now, but a part of what makes him so cool as a performer is that he doesn’t seem to be begrudging working on a TV show in the process. This show takes up a few months of his life, and he can balance that out with all of the other stuff that he has going down. Right now, for example, he’s making a new “Jumanji” with Jack Black, Kevin Hart, and many others.
