‘Chicago PD’ season 4 spoilers: An emotional story for Platt lies ahead…

Chicago PD -

The fourth season of “Chicago PD” is rapidly approaching, and it certainly appears as though there’s going to be a wide array of drama for several characters. For example, you’re going to see Lindsay struggle with what happened with Voight at the end of last season, just as Voight himself could feel a little pressure with it. Burgess will have a new partner, Antonio Dawson a new romance courtesy of a “Chicago Fire” crossover, and while not every other character story is revealed just yet, we do believe that they will be in due tie.

So what about Platt? Following her wedding last season, we wish that there was some more happy news to report. Unfortunately, that doesn’t seem to be the case. Speaking to TVLine, executive producer Matt Olmstead previewed what lies ahead in what is probably going to be a very emotional hour for her coming up:

“[She’s] jumped and attacked and beaten within an inch of her life … It’s a real tour de force episode for Amy Morton.”

Ultimately, we figure that this will be a tough one to watch. While the good news for Platt is that she is surrounded by people who are good at bringing criminals to justice, the fact that she was jumped could in turn make it difficult to find those responsible and bring them to justice. Hopefully they do, since otherwise this could easily be the sort of thing that sticks with Platt for some time.
