‘The Celebrity Apprentice’ with Arnold Schwarzenegger lands January premiere date
We’ve been waiting for a long time for the news that we have today regarding “The Celebrity Apprentice,” and we’re very pleased to finally have it: The official premiere date!
NBC has confirmed that on Monday, January 2, the Arnold Schwarzenegger series is going to premiere with a two-hour installment starting at 8:00 p.m. Eastern time. It’s hopefully going to be everything that we remember it being back when Donald Trump was the host. By that, we mean completely crazy and nonsensical with a lot of crazy competitions, arbitrary rules, and people shouting at each other just because they are in love with their own voices.
If you have not heard, the roster of contestants for this season includes boxer Laila Ali, host Brooke Burke-Charvet, NFL Hall of Famer Eric Dickerson, singer Boy George, “American Ninja Warrior” co-host Matt Iseman, former “Big Morning Buzz” host Carrie Keegan, stylist Carson Kressley, WNBA champion Lisa Leslie, “Saturday Night Live” alum Jon Lovitz, Motley Crue rocker Vince Neil, “Jersey Shore” alum Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi, “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” alum Kyle Richards, MMA star Chael Sonnen, “Real Housewives of Atlanta” star Porsha Williams, NFL alum Ricky Williams, and singer Carnie Wilson.
Basically, this lineup is a who’s who of people you’ve already seen on other reality shows, but do you really care? Ultimately, this is a show simply trying to be ridiculous, and banking on people who are good for that is probably the right move. There are a few serious people in here as well, but for optimum entertainment a Kressley vs. Lovitz finale showdown is what we should all dream for.
